Flood:Spray

Overview

Currently in development for feature film production, Flood:Spray complements grid-based fluid simulations ( such as Flood ) by allowing users to add dynamic splash elements. Flood:Spray uses a particle-based fluid simulation method inspired by Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics.

Flood:Spray automatically seeds randomized particles below the liquid surface and fluid forces drive the particles based on objects interacting with the simulated fluid. This complements Flood by adding small scale splash and spray effects without resorting to a minute voxel length to resolve the smallest details.

Designed to use a scripted architecture for flexibility with solver customization, Flood:Spray is targeted at Artists and Technical Directors who need an intuitive and easy to use liquid simulation engine that can create cool splashes.
