Important Notice if You Are Downgrading From 3.0 to 2.7

Due to the large amount of internal changes to the client and repository structure and how data is stored, downgrading from 3.0 to 2.7 is not supported. Once you are running Deadline 3.0, you will be able to downgrade to previous 3.x releases by following the steps below.

Downgrade the Repository

Whenever you upgrade Deadline, a backup is created of the previous version. All the backups are stored in the Backup folder in the repository. Deadline backs up the following repository folders:

• Bin: the Deadline applications
• Plugins: the plugins
• Scripts: the Monitor scripts
• Submission: the submission scripts

To downgrade the repository, simply delete the Bin, Plugins, Scripts and Submission folders in the repository, and copy over the folders from the backup.
